Team Manager
Carmen Desjardins
Carmen first got involved in competitive swimming 15 years ago when she registered her son in the sport. After 7 years as an active parent serving on multiple committees with two children in the club, Carmen joined the STARS board of Directors as Registrar, a role she remained in for six consecutive years. In 2003 Carmen agreed to take on a new role, that of Team Manager. The position was created in order to aid the Head Coach in all organizational and administrative matters. As our most experienced swim parent, Carmen was tailored made for this position. The position of Team Manager is an integral part of the operational infrastructure laid down by the Head Coach, and Carmen's expertise has maximized its impact. The 2011-2012 season is Carmen's ninth as Team Manager with the Dorado Stars Swim club.
